I am a man

The photo "I am a man" is showing black men trying to prove that they are equal. The message is that even thought they may be from a different ethnicity they should have the same equal rights as white men. All of the soldiers wearing their same uniforms is a symbol showing how there is two sides, the white perfect men, and the the dirty black men, which is why they are fighting for equal rights. The fact that they have similar uniforms show how these men are trying to separate the good from the bad, It is showing how the soldiers and white society wants america to be.
