"God has not given you equal rights.” Photograph. PBS: Independent Lens. “Women in Afghanistan: Afghan Women’s Rights.” 17 November 2004. Web. 13 August 2014.
This image displays the inequality women face in Afghanistan and proves that women are not considered to be equal to the men in that country. This message is most clearly proven through the body language of the subjects in the image. The focus of the image is on the woman as she is in the center, however she is facing away from the camera suggesting she is not allowed to be caught on camera. Not only that, but the woman appears to be hunched over and keeping her head down, suggesting that she is not supposed to make eye contact with the approaching men as women in Afghanistan are not considered equal to men. Also the men in this image are walking tall and right towards the woman as if they believe they are better than her and hold power over her. To conclude the body language of the subjects in this image clearly prove that women are not considered to be equal to men in Afghanistan.
