I Am A Man

I Am A Man.

I think that this image demonstrates that black people are not considered equal or even as humans to white people. One of the textual elements is the contrast between the black men and the white man. As you can see the white man does not have a sign saying I am a man on it because he is seen as a man to all the other white people. But the black men are seen as just workers or slaves not actually as human beings. The image shows how unequal the different races and colours are.  The contrast between the men bring out the strong message that black people aren't seen as real people and just objects.
